'Win with a bit of class!' - Man Utd legend Scholes blasts Mourinho
The ex-Red Devils midfielder does not believe the club's current boss needed to taunt the Italian side's fans after win in Turin.
Jose Mourinho's gesture towards Juventus fans following a 2-1 win last night had Scholes believing the Red Devils boss should show more class in victory. The premier league said had to come from behind after a stunning strike from their former employee, Christiano Ronaldo before Juan Mata equalized with a sublime freekick.
Alex Sandro own goal sealed the victory late on, sparking the Man United boss walking into the middle of the pitch with his hands raised up beside his ear.
Mourinho, who has claimed he was taunted by the Juve support throughout the match, doesn't believe his gesture showed any disrespect to the Italian fans or their supporters.
"I wanted to hear them louder, "he told sky sports Italian as part of his explaination for motioning to the supporters. But the reaction drew a response from several Juventus players, including Leonardo Bonucci and Paulo Dybala, who confronted Mourinho at the time.
And former Man United midfielder Paul Scholes did not see any reason for the current boss to act in such manner.
"You need to win with a bit of class," Scholes told BT Sports.
I don't think there is any need for that. Go over and clap the away fans, shake the manager's hand.
Mourinho drew criticism from the first leg of the tie which Man United lost 1-0, raising three fingers up in the sky which indictates the number of Serie A he won while managing their rivals Inter.
Juventus still sit atop group H, after wining their first three games.
