Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has explained why he is against the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Saraki, while addressing his followers in Kwara State, stated that he is yet to benefit anything from the Buhari-led government despite the money he spent on his campaign in 2015. Recall that Saraki, had in 2014, dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside some other Senators Shaba Lafiagi, Mohammed Ndume, Danjuma Goje, Abdullahi Adamu, Magnus Abe, and Wilson Ake. However, in July 2018, the Senate President again announced his exit from the ruling party to the PDP, saying “inclusion and a general sense of belonging did not exist.” In an audio recording of his Saraki’s address to his followers, he noted that the three and half years of the Buhari government have not been an easy one to him particularly in the area of empowerment. The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 as a public holiday to mark the Eid-El Maulad celebration. This was made known by the Minister of Interior , Lt Gen (rtd) Abdulrahman Dambazau who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by the permanent secretary Dr. M.B Umar, he urged all Muslims faithful to align themselves with the prophet's teachings which borders on piety, charity, tolerance , and peaceful co-existence among others. While calling on all Nigerians to uphold these virtues, with a view to overcoming the current national challenges facing the nation. He assured that the Federal Government remains committed to the unity of the country, as such, will put adequate structures on ground towards ensuring the forth coming general elections are credible, free and fair.

A federal judge today ruled that the White House must restore the press pass it stripped last week from CNN's chief White House correspondent, Jim Acosta. Judge Timothy Kelly ruled that Jim Acosta's free-press rights under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution outweigh "the government’s interest in orderly, respectful press conferences''. He went on to add that the White House failed to give Acosta "due process," something guaranteed in government proceedings under the Fifth Amendment. And he suggested that the White House exaggerated when it claimed that Acosta "placed his hands" on a female intern last week as she tried to reclaim a press conference microphone.  While Kelly ordered the White House to let Acosta back in the building, he said Trump and his spokespeople aren't obligated to call on him during press conferences or let him ask questions.
