Vote APC out of the region – Atiku tells North-East

Presidential candidate for People's Democratic Party (PDP) , Atiku Abubakar has called on the people of Adamawa to vote out the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the coming 2019 general elections.

Atiku attended a reunion in the state on Saturday where he made the call. He told the people of the North-East that they have a chance to regain political prominence in the country by voting his party, the PDP in the 2019 general elections from the botttom to the top.

The former vice president said:

"We thank God for this homecoming which has afforded me the opportunity to make this reunion since my emergence as the presidential candidate of the PDP. It is no longer news that I emerged the presidential candidate of our party - the PDP at the Port Harcourt convention.

"It is not just my desire that the people of the North-East gain prominence again but it's a sacred duty that the people must root out the APC completely from the bottom to the top. We  have that chance to choose the PDP and be in front. I am a son of the North-East, I have returned to thank the people of Adamawa and the entire North-East, for our feat in Port Harcourt."

He added,  "I want to appeal that you vote out the APC from the region by ensuring that from the presidency down to the states, you elect only the PDP. From bottom to the top I want only the PDP to be in control as far as this zone is concerned."

Alibaba Reacts To N30,000 New Minimum Wage

Ali Baba, the veteran comedian has siad if the current exchange rate in the parallel market remains, and fuel is still being imported. The current approval of  N30, 000 makes no difference to the masses. He said this while reacting to the increased in minimum wage from N18,000 to N30,000, as avocated by the Nigeria Labour Congress. He said: "Market forces will swallow up the salary increase in 3-months. The quality of life has to be much better.The exchange rate has to drop to say N100 to $1 , and with fuel still being imported no chance of that happening". However, just to make himself happy he had to celebrate the increase. "Hey let's celebrate, minimum wage is now N30,000. Some Governors who were unable to pay N18,000 now pay N30,000. Oya let's dance jare", he wrote on his Instagram page.
